Introduction to the Company

Eamon Glennon Ltd., was set-up by the present Managing Director in the early 1960's. The Glennon family have been involved in the timber industry for many generations. Eamon started in a small sawmill which manufactured coffins for the local market. Because of the strategic location of Longford in the center of Ireland, he saw a need to develop a company dedicated to the supply of the funeral industry.

In 1977 the company moved to a purpose built facility in Townparks Industrial Estate, six years later this was doubled in size to accommodate new computerised production equipment and out own complete veneering plant. Over the years we have endeavoured to keep up with the constantly changing market place, we continue to introduce new machinery and production methods, so as to offer our customers quality crafted products, personalised service and an open ear to meet their evolving needs.

The company distributes its products all over Ireland and also in the U.K. We use our own delivery vehicles and also use other carriers where necessary. From the map below you can see our location and accessibility to all ports and major centers.

Eamon Glennon Ltd. is committed to the manufacture and delivery of quality products. To ensure that these goals are achieved and adhered to, Eamon Glennon Ltd. has developed and documented a quality system which conforms to European Standards. All employees were involved in the company gaining ISO registration for the manufacture of coffins & caskets, in 1998 - the fact that some of our employees have as much as 30 years service gives testament to our dedication to quality.
